In 2015, the Colorado passed the WORK Act, which is a grant program that awards eligible government or nongovernment entities so that they can engage in outreach and recruitments efforts and/or provide skilled worker training. The program has benefitted many Coloradans in getting training for jobs and finding employment. HB17-1357 extends funding for the program through the 2018-2019 state fiscal year. The bill has been passed and is awaiting Governor Hickenlooper’s signature.
