LEGISLATIVE ACTIVITIES 2016
In 2016, as House District 7’s Representative I was able to pass several pieces of legislation to improve the lives of Coloradans. I passed bills as a part of the Rebuilding Trust between Community and Police package, including the Law Enforcement Background Check Employment Waiver Bill and the Prohibition Against Racial Profiling Bill. I also advocated for parents’ right to a choice in their child’s education by passing legislation to secure equal funding for charter schools. In addition, I passed an important bill updating 80-year-old liquor laws, bringing Colorado statute into the 21st century.
